We’re preparing a substantial update to Certly, with improvements for independent electricians and growing teams. Here’s an early look at what’s coming.

If you already use Certly, we wanted to give you a heads-up before the update arrives. As it rolls out, some screens, controls and parts of the layout will look different when you next log in.

The features below are upcoming. We’ll confirm availability and share more detailed guidance as the update becomes ready.

Your certificates, your way

More certificate branding and layout options are coming through the certificate design studio, including additional styles, colours, gradients and PDF previews.

We’re also preparing certificate duplication, so you can create a new draft from an existing certificate while retaining its readings, details, attachments and engineer evidence. Each copy will have a new reference and require fresh QS approval.

Reusable company templates and clearer personal and company views will support the work around each certificate.

More control over your working day

Customisable dashboards will bring work priorities, overdue items, upcoming inspections and jobs together, with movable widgets and company dashboard templates.

The update will also introduce inspection reminders and expand team job planning and shared calendar workflows. Authorised users will be able to assign engineers, plan the certificates and templates needed for a job, and access company diaries and scheduling.

More ways to work together

Company and team accounts will bring staff invitations, roles, permissions and named licence allocation into Certly.

Shared certificates and templates, together with expanded QS review workflows, will give teams more ways to organise work. Planned review features include queues, reviewer notes, returns, corrections, approvals and authorised self-QC.

Working on your own? The branding, duplication, dashboard and other practical improvements give you plenty to look forward to too.

Practical improvements across Certly

Other upcoming improvements include:

  • In-app photo editing, with crop, rotation, drawings, circles and arrows.
  • Expanded client and property records, including CSV client import, connected job and certificate history, and access to previously imported historic PDFs.
  • Electrical inspection improvements, including three-phase circuit groups, whole-group operations and observations linked to the installation, board or circuit.
  • Separate observations reports and circuit schedules.
  • An updated iPad experience, plus in-app guides and walkthroughs.
